En Vadillo-Castril, en Jaén, se encontraba el aserradero más importante de España, desde el que salió un tercio de las traviesas de la red ferroviaria española. Ese espacio ha sido recuperado y convertido en el Centro de Interpretación de la Cultura de la Madera, un punto para que el visitante inicie un viaje al pasado y acabe mirando de otro modo al bosque.
