Desde un pequeño estudio del centro de Sevilla las creaciones de la firma de moda infantil Motoreta llegan a más de 25 países y se encuentran en unos 100 puntos de ventas en todo el mundo. Ellas lo tenían claro. Que sus diseños estaban hechos para romper fronteras. Las arquitectas Cristina López-Lago y María Llerena se lanzaron a esta aventura en el verano de 2013 con una primera colección que presentaron directamente en París. El 95% de su producción va fuera de España y cuenta entre sus principales clientes a Corea del Sur y EE.UU. La experiencia vital de ser madre fue lo que movió a Cristina a buscar una manera diferente de hacer las cosas. Ella se encarga de la parte de diseño y María, su socia de estudio, del marketing, concepto de marca y demás cuestiones. La suma de ambas ha logrado llevar el concepto del diseño a una moda demasiado dominada por los estereotipos y el de la sostenibilidad a una industria que a veces puja más por el producto que por las personas. No es el caso de Motoreta que se incluye en el movimiento Slow Fashion. Toda su producción se hace en España y lo llevan a gala en su eslogan de marca.
