Con tan sólo 15 años hizo su primera guitarra siguiendo la técnica y maestría de Antonio de Torres, constructor de la guitarra moderna, tal y como su padre le enseñó. En su trabajo combina la tradición y la investigación , componentes que le han llevado a lograr que sus guitarras, clásicas y de flamenco,  tengan un sonido muy especial.
