Delfina y Dolores Tapia formaron parte de la primera promoción de mujeres de la Policía Municipal que hubo en España. Ingresaron en el cuerpo en Córdoba en 1970, donde primero tuvieron que enfrentarse al machismo imperante en la época y, poco a poco, durante su trayectoria profesional, pasaron a cubrir todo tipo de servicios en la policía hasta su jubilación.
