Pedro Cerezo, filosofía por vocación con reconocimiento internacional

Pedro Cerezo, natural de la localidad cordobesa de Hinojosa del Duque, es uno de los grandes filósofos españoles del siglo XX y un referente internacional de la Historia del Pensamiento Español. Su vocación la despertó la retórica de Cicerón, pero fue la muerte de Ortega y Gasset, en 1955, lo que le hizo decantarse por la Filosofía. Es Catedrático jubilado de la Universidad de Granada y con anterioridad lo fue de la Universidad de Barcelona. Este “amante de la sabiduría”, como él mismo define la figura del filósofo, ha escrito innumerables artículos y ha publicado más de una veintena de libros. Entre sus galardones destaca el Premio Ortega y Gasset de Ensayo en 2004 y el XXVIII Premio Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, que ha recibido en 2014 por su difusión del pensamiento y de la filosofía española.
