Su familia formaba parte de la cooperativa que fabricaba queso en Montefrío (Granada) y que tuvo que cerrar. Nieves Zamora y sus padres adquirieron la compañía y desde entonces Queso Montefrieño se convirtió en una empresa familiar. En 2017 han conseguido una medalla de oro y otra de bronce con dos de sus variedades en los World Cheese Awards, uno de los mayores reconocimientos del sector a nivel mundial. Pero no son las únicas medallas que han conseguido estos años en estos galardones.
