Antonio Ibáñez ha trabajado como investigador para la NASA, ha vendido 50.000 palmeras artificiales al Gobierno de Libia y ha colaborado en la unidad especial de alta tecnología del Ejército español. Sin embargo, salvar de un ahogamiento en una piscina a un amigo le descubriría su verdadero camino en el mundo de la investigación. Ibáñez ha patentado dos inventos para evitar estos accidentes: una piscina con una plataforma elevadora que evita el ahogamiento y el agua flotante. El inventor gaditano ya trabaja en su tercer patente enfocada a este fin: un sello transparente con localizador que alerta de los posibles ahogamientos en mar abierto.
