Descubrió la fotografía deportiva con los chavales de su barrio en un parque de skate. El granadino Álex Molina no podía patinar, pero la fotografía fue su conexión con este deporte. Después vino el fútbol y después otros muchos deportes, ya que llegó a trabajar para el Comité Paralímpico Español, cubriendo con sus fotografías los Juegos Paralímpicos de Londres 2012. En 2016 su cámara ha vuelto a estar en una cita paralímpica, los Juegos de Río 2016.
